Bloglines is a tool used to monitor blog interactions. This tool can be used to identify when students have entered information on to their blog.
Ripway is a internet storage area that allows the upload of resources and then provides a URL that allows a direct link from the blog to the document.
Gmail is a free email account that allows the option of chat.
Picasa2 photo editing that links directly to the blog.
Ourmedia is also a storage area with better upload/download capacities however it is being blocked by firewall
